eLys for Flanders
eLys is the digital death administration platform run by Athumi for the Flemish Region. Since 1 January 2026 it is the mandatory channel for the inlichtingenfiche, the document that funeral directors submit to record how a deceased person will be buried or cremated, along with the socio-economic data that goes with it.
If your firm handles cases in Flanders, this is not optional paperwork on the side: it is the record the region expects for every dossier.
What Lethra does with it
Section titled “What Lethra does with it”Lethra connects to eLys on your firm’s behalf so the case file and the eLys dossier stay close to each other, without you copying details between two systems.
- It searches eLys for the dossier that matches a case, using the national registry number when the case has one.
- It links a dossier to a case, so the two stay associated for as long as you need them to.
- It imports documents eLys already holds for that dossier into the case file, so they sit alongside everything else you have on the family.
- It prefills the inlichtingenfiche from what the case already knows, such as whether the funeral is a burial or a cremation.
- It compares the dossier to the case, so a mismatched name or date of death is visible instead of silently overwritten.
What always waits for you
Section titled “What always waits for you”This mirrors how the rest of the agent works: it prepares and gathers, and a person in your firm decides when something is ready to go.
